Well to start off I thought I would start blogging about the Life and adventures of the Hernandez family. If you are reading this, then you are a friend and/or close family. I thought that if would be intresting to write and keep up with the daily task of life not only for you to read, but for the kids to have and cherish someday. I hope that we can create and have memories of the life we have worked so hard for them to have and the many adventures we take them on.
First off, this was a wonderful 3 day weekend and with that in mind what a better way to relax, than just go..go..and go. Friday night was filled with Softball. Mark has been asked to sign up with a co-ed softball team. It was really neat to go out and watch him play. He plays at the field of dreams stadium in mansfield. Wow!! What a nice stadium. It is very professional and nice. The fields there are awesome. He had a 7pm game and was running late because he had to work late on Friday but he made it there just in time to change into cleats and run out to centerfield where he would get about a 30 sec pause and his first chance to be a team hero. A pop fly headed his way and he dove and caught it. Needless to say they have a really good team and man the girls on the team are awesome. They won 13-1. We decided to stay out at the fields and watch other teams play and we had fun visiting with the players on the team and meeting new friends. After that we headed to On the Border and had a family dinner. The food and service is awesome in Grand Prairie. Saturday we woke up early and headed to watch my nephew Riley play football. He is on the Lions football team in Grand Prairie and what a Football player is he. He can tackle and run the ball. That was a lot of fun their team won 13-12 after scoring a touchdown and the extra point. Way to go Lions. I can't wait to watch him next weekend. It was weekend of baby Marks firsts. It was his first football game and first time to go camping. After the game we went to eat breakfast at Taco Cabana and enjoyed the company of the Ruiz Family and my mom. Once we finished we headed back to the house to pack to go camping. Erin and Elisa's softball coach Jerry and his wife Joann invited us out to the lake to go boating with them. We were just going to stay out there for a few hours but we had so much fun watching Erin, Elisa hang out with their little friends Vanessa, Alyssa and Victoria that we ended up staying all day long. Oh and don't leave out baby Mark he smiled to whole time on the boat. Him and baby Nikki were good considering the heat. They napped for about an hour while we ancored the boat and let the kids Mark and Jerry swim. It was fun. Sunday, was a great day as well. We headed to church, then lunch then more softball. Elisa has joined a select team and when they practice they practice 3-7pm. Thats alot of softball. Right after she finished practice they headed out to meet us at Lakeside park where we had a softball game HST vs CFNI team. It was a lot of fun especially since HST won. We had a great time fellowshipping with other people. Monday was great. I know it was labor day which means you are not supposed to work but its hard to rest when so much needs to get done. I thought it would be great to clean out Marks van and help him get organized for the week so it will save him some time. Well, I thought it would take about an hour or so....Yeah right it ended up taking 3 1/2 hours to clean the van, but once it was clean he was so happy. It felt good to do something for him. He works so hard all the time to provide the finances for the family and he deserved it. After that we headed for breakfast at Los Lupes with the in-laws. It is always fun to hang out with them. We do alot of laughing and reinacting of things and people. After that Christina and Sis Carmen volenteered to babysit Baby Mark so we could go out to the movies while the girls stayed the night with Vanessa and Alyssa, so we dropped him off and off we went. But then Mark got a call to come into work so that date was cancelled as fast as it was planned....Oh well Babe theres always next weekend....Mark went to work and me and the girls headed off to Cedar Hill to go play in the water and ended up shopping for a new softball glove for Elisa, new cleats for Mark and softball pants for Erin....How come I ended up not getting one thing...maybe I should play softball so I can buy me something. Even baby Mark got himself a new Texas Longhorn onesie to wear to the girls games. Oh well it is all worth it in the end. After shopping at every sporting good store in Ceder Hill we ended up back in Arlington. Then off to a cook out at the inlaws house. It was a great relaxing way to end a perfect weekend. It has been fun getting to reach out and meet new people. Thanks Jerry & Joann, Vanessa and Alyssa for a great time.
I am looking forward to this coming week. Baby Mark is officially 3mon and on Thursday my baby girl Elisa will be 10 and she has her first select softball tournament this weekend. God has blessed us so much and He continues to show his favor to our family each and everyday.
